Obedience Level 3

6 week program using the Volhard Motivational Method

Increase distance, improve training with distractions, off leash work, and retrieving.


Obedience Novice

6 week program using the Volhard Motivational Method

This class is offered to the handler that aspires to show their dog in the Novice level of obedience and/or Rally obedience competition. The focus is on detailing the routine for the ring and enhancing the performance through improved handling skills.


Open and Utility Training

6 week program using the Volhard Motivational Method

The exercises that will be taught in this class are the additional skills needed for the open and utility class offered by the AKC. Our first three weeks will focus on Open and will include the drop on recall, jumping, and retrieving. The final three weeks we will focus on Utility and include the go out with directive jumping, the seek back (CKC), and scent discrimination.


Off Leash, no problem!

4 week program

As the name of this class implies, dogs and handlers will be learning all the skills needed to successfully work with off leash. Developed for the obedience competitor, we will work AKC Novice exercises to perfection off leash. This class is held in a fully fenced environment.


Rally Obedience

4 week program

Build on the foundation of sign reading and learn the more challenging exercises to prepare for a rally advanced or excellent title. This class will help dog and handler improve their team work and develop new skills.


NoseFun 3

4 week program

This class is for dogs that have completed the NoseFun 2 class and have met minimum proficiency in finding their initial target odor. This class will continue to develop handler skills and will introduce the teams to additional target odor(s).


Agility Advanced

4 week program

Developed for the dog and handler that is in competition for agility titles or aspires to compete in the near future. Learn how to read and evaluate a course design, set up a competition course, and teach you and your dog how to handle the challenges that you will find at the novice and open levels.


Drill It!

4 week program

Developed for people who may be working toward obedience titles as well as just plain wanting their dogs to really sit and stay at the door when company arrives. Each week different behaviors are selected keeping the focus simple and fun, leaving you with a plan of action. Handlers will learn just how rewarding training our dogs can be when we make the time to drill it!
