Another trip came up, to Asia this time, and she adopted a cat (no way could she have a dog in a high rise over there) but as soon as she came back, she adopted two rescue dogs - Pluto and Senji. This time, Sabine became interested in both dog training and nutrition. Senji, her challenging dog, has helped her go deeper in dog behavior and body language.
Sabine participates yearly at Dog Training Camp/Instructor School, attends the annual Holistic Conference for a Healthy Dog and Advanced Holistic Study Groups (by the Volhards).
A mother of three (now adult) children, she has always loved activities with children. Theresa found a way to tap into several of Sabine's interests by inviting her to be an instructor at KidsCamp!

Jennifer Weis

Jennifer Weis was born and raised in New York State with her younger brother and Dakota, a black Labrador rescue. "He was the family dog", as Jen recalls him fondly. He was the only dog they had and Dakota didn't come to them until Jen was well into high school. Jen began training other peoples dogs for them while in the doggy daycare she worked and discovered just how much she enjoyed dogs and training! She then moved out to California where she managed a dog daycare/dog walking business for two years. It was in California that she adopted Lucy, her black lab at the age of two. Since her return from the west in 2004, Jen has been working and teaching classes here at Mahogany Ridge. She most recently attended a week long training camp with Jack and Wendy Volhard and continues her education through reading, attending workshops, seminars and classes with Lucy and her latest arrival, a Belgian Malanois puppy, Firefly! She is training both her dogs continually in Obedience, Agility, Freestyle and Flyball.
