Theresa combines her knowledge of the breed with her understanding of a particular dog's temperament to develop a training plan that meets each owner's and dog's needs.

Our animals are our children and having a place where
we can drop Mina off during the day, with people we trust is a relief not to mention a very affordable luxury!

Bonnie's Tillie

Tillie completing her AKC MACH title (Masters Agility Champion!)

Bonnie and Tillie started their agility career at Mahogany Ridge with Theresa as her first agility instructor. With a push from Theresa, Bonnie entered her first agility trial and has been sucessfully competing in agility ever since. For the last few years Bonnie has been teaching agility classes at Mahogany Ridge.
"Tillie was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma in August 2004. She fought the disease pretty hard. Her spirit stayed strong but she eventually lost the battle. She enriched my life in more ways than I can say and I will miss her terribly. There will be more agility dogs in my life but she will always be my first and most amazing." Bonnie

Scout Receiving his first Major.
SCOUT wants you to see his first Major, May 2003.

This is from the last time SueAnn had her clinic.
ChaDich thought the bed in the office was a perfect fit.
"He left us on 1/7/05, ChaDich brought love and joy to all he met.
His time with us is a gift we will treasure forever."
Targ just had a grand time!  I think he's grinning!

Irene Derreberry's Therapy dog, Valentine Sommers, CGC, TDI, a rescued golden/chow mix.

Foxfire Mossy Oak, CGC
Moss is a Black & Tan Coonhound and a regular at Mahogany Ridge, having completed Novice Obedience, Advanced Beginners' Agility and Freestyle.  He may be spotted (ears swinging) at SPAC walking with his owner.  Or you might hear his unmistakable, melodious voice telling the squirrels there that "Moss is in the park"!  He is charming and clownish. Moss can be a unique challenge; but thanks to the unwavering  support and guidance of Theresa and her staff he intends to reach his full potential!

I, personally, would just like to thank you and your staff for offering such a wonderful service! Our animals are our children and having a place where we can drop Mina off during the day, with people we trust is a relief not to mention a very affordable luxury! Mina is the "fat kid on the playground" and though normally pretty lazy, she gets a great day of play and exercise, and comes home exhausted, but more importantly...she comes home happy.
Thanks again for being there! We, Mina included, love it!

Mina in the snow
This pic is not at Mahogany...
but you know that Mina loves the snow....this is during a snow storm...
she would NOT come in the house! She is a big snow head!

Helen of Troy

While her big “brother” Chester, CGC, TT, CL1-R, CL1-F, CL1-H, continues to wow them on the agility field. Helen of Troy, CGC, TD began her agility studies with Bonnie Murphy at Mahogany Ridge. Because Helen is deaf and easily distracted, we must do our utmost to keep her attention on us. She had a great start with Bonnie and is continuing with Jen in the advanced beginner class. We can't wait!! While Helen has a long way to go in agility, she is already a star therapy dog working her charm on the veterans who meet her at the Albany VA Hospital.

Chester and Helen of Troy are veterans at Mahogany Ridge -- both having been students of Theresa, Irene, and Jen  – each graduating Obedience Levels 1-3 in addition to their agility training.

Both Chester and Helen of Troy are rescued pitbulls – their owners Helene and Paul love that these dogs help to break down the stereotype of the pitbull when out and about in the world.
