Case's Canines

Hi! My name is Kelly Case and I'm the new owner of the retail shop located at Mahogany Ridge. The store is named Case's Canines Food and Supplies and I'm so happy and honored to be part of the Mahogany Ridge “team”.

Just to let you know a little about me: I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 15 years, and we have 2 wonderful kids, Jack (12) and Katie (11). I am currently owned by 3 energetic Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, 2 cats, and occasionally help out with my daughter's 2 guinea pigs. I have taken several obedience classes at Mahogany Ridge (Levels 1, 2, 3, Attention and Heeling, and Novice). I also have taken many agility classes and have even participated in a few trials. Last year I went to Theresa Richmond's Adultcamp! and truly fell in love with obedience training. This last spring I went to Jack and Wendy Volhard's Instructor camp, and recently got back from Wendy Volhard's Healthy Dog Conference that focuses on canine health and nutrition. I plan on becoming an obedience instructor at some point in time (when I can catch my breath!). I'm also developing a therapy dog program for the Saratoga Hospital Emergency Department.

I will continue to carry all of the food brands that Mahogany Ridge's loyal customers are used to: NDF A.M. and P.M. and NDF2, Frozen Bil-Jac, Bridgewater ground beef, and Wellness dry and canned food. I also have several varieties of nutritious treats and a growing selection of toys and chews for your canine friends.

For those of you new to the NDF diets, they are second to none. NDF stands for Natural Diet Foundation. Wendy Volhard developed these diets over the course of 40 years. They provide optimal canine nutrition that is easily digestible and contains all the nutrients needed by the average dog. They are dehydrated diets, not baked like kibble. Kibble is difficult for dogs to digest and actually stays in their stomachs for hours!! NDF 2 is so easy; all you have to do is add hot water and your own protein (beef, chicken, pork, fish, cottage cheese, etc.). There are no preservatives so the food must be kept in the refrigerator after opening. Switch your dogs over to these diets and you can see their health and vitality improve right before your eyes. In the near future I plan to start carrying other fun things. Stop by regularly to see what new things I have in the store! If you're looking for a particular brand of treats or toy that I don't currently offer, I'm happy to look into carrying it for you!

My current hours are 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Friday and I will be staying open later one evening in the near future. I will keep you posted.
